Exploring Volterra.

This tour from Livorno Port will be a way to discover two of the most beautiful medieval villages of Tuscany. First stop will be Volterra, a characteristic walled town on top of a hill, from which dominates the entire valley giving breathtaking views. Set of famous movies like “Twilight” and “The Medici” is the perfect place to breath medieval atmosphere, visiting its impressive town hall, Palazzo dei Priori, the oldest in Tuscany, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta with the Baptistery, the Florentine Forteresse and the incredible remains of the roman theatre.

Medieval Engineering.

Our tour will continue to San Gimignano, 40 minutes from Volterra. Characterized by its remaining 14 towers over 90 of the time, it is called the Manhattan of the Middle Ages, thanks to an incredible work of medieval engineering. You will be amazed by this fascinating jewel, by its Cathedral completely covered by frescoes, some of them original from the 1200, one of the few examples that we still have today in Tuscany. Free time to taste the best “italian gelato” in the characteristic medieval square of the village.

After the tour you will be driven back to the port on time.
