Livorno by Boat

About this tour.

This city is quite different from her Tuscan sisters for what concerns its history. It doesn’t have in fact Medieval origins but it was born in the XVI century. Before that period it was the port of Pisa, it was a little village surrounded by a natural mouth of its river.

We are speaking about a place that has always been considered the outskirts. Since Florence decided to convert Livorno into its own port.  A cosmopolitan city, created thanks to the arrival of  many foreigners, that found here a place to live. That’s why that Livorno is considered a multiethnic city, the first that hosts different religions from the world.
