About this tour.
A tour across the Street of olive oil and wine of Lucca, will bring us to Montecarlo. A small and fascinating medieval village, rich in history, because it has been the place where a lot of conflicts were made among Lucca and Florence.
There will be a fantastic stroll among the vineyards that overlook breathtaking panoramas. From the top of the hill, situated 300 meters on the sea level, Montecarlo owns a panorama on the Tuscan countryside.
The highest point of the village is the Fortress of Cerruglio, its construction dates back to XIV century. Will be possible to enter in the Collegiata church of SantāAndrea and also in the little and historical theatre of Rassicurati.
After you had a romantic stroll across the village, the tour continues towards one of the major wine cellars of the area. You can also find tradition and innovation, tasting their wines.
On your request the tasting could be done during lunch in an agrifarm.
